Anecdote* | 3 February 1702/3 | On 3 Feb 1702/03 Capt. Tully Robinson sued George Marriner, who was bound with Edward Bagwell (Indian) to pay 3 pounds money to Robinson. Marriner, who asked for proof of the debt, refused to say if the bill produced was his own act and deed. The court therefore ordered that Marriner pay the debt with the costs of the suit. (NOTE: This was his last appearance in Accomack County order books.)7 |
