The Justices sue Jonah Belote and Mary, his wife the widow of John Potter for £1000 as by an Oblgatory Note made right after the death. The said Mary was to prepare and submit an inventory of the estate. The Court ordered that said estate be divided in 1735 between the said Jonah Belote and the said Potter's children: John, Edmund, Absebeth, Nichlis and Sarah. This suit claims that the son Edmund, has not been paid his legal representative share (£53.15.6) of his father's estate. Judgment - Edmund's share to be paid; no details as to the £1000 sued by the Justices.2 |
