James W. Marshall1
M, b. circa 1827
Birth* | circa 1827 | James was born circa 1827 at Accomack Co, VA.2 |
Biography* | | The assumption that this James Marshall was a son of John and Adah Marshall is based on James being in the 1850 Census in the household of Asa Hall only 3 households from his brother John Marshall of J. and his b.c. 1827 would have been just before his father John died. This James Marshall has not been connected to any other of the bayside Marshalls. Both James Marshall and Asa Hall were listed as sailors. James did not list his parents on his marriage record of 1854, which could have been an indication that his father was deceased. This James has not been found in later Acc Co records. Being a sailor, he could have easily left the area. |
Census w/another* | 1850 | James was listed with another family in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as James Marshall, a 23 year old sailor in HH#992 headed by Asa Hall, a 26 year old sailor..3 |
