Three years later (1839) there was a transaction which is not clear: no disposition by Stockley was found and he was still living, but there was a suit for a divison by a number of Dunton children, seemingly the children of a Benjamin & Ann Dunton. By order of court, a John W. and Mary Haslay(sic) deeded a one-seventh interest to John G. Turner; this was the only deed to Turner that was found, but 10 years later a trustee for him sold as 170 acres to Thomas H. Bagwell. In 1867 Bagwell and wife Imogene of Portsmouth sold to Victor A. Mapp Jr. and 3 years later he gave a deed of trust to George W. Dunton, and he became the owner although no foreclosure proceedings were noted. In 1871 the will of George W. Dunton (N72A) left to trustees for certain children and grandchildren, and finally in 1938 the house and 150 acres were bought by J. Clyde Dunton. His will called the property Poplar Hill. (NOTE: This would have been the children of Benjamin Dunton (1798-1832) & Ann 'Nancy' S. Topping (1802-1828) and it was this Benjamin's 2nd wife & widow Mary T.S. Tankard that married John W.
