It has been suggested that Nancy Scott was the daughter of Benjamin Scott and his wife Sally Nottingham, but after Benjamin Scott died without a will his land was divided between his son Benjamin N. Scott, his daughter Elizabeth N. Scott and his grandson John T.P. Scott, a grandson, the son of his dec'd son John N. Scott, without any mention of a daughter Nancy 'Annie' Scott.)4 |
