Samuel(?) Killmon1
M, b. circa 1750, d. before 1800
Birth* | circa 1750 | Samuel(?) was born circa 1750 at Dorchester Co, MD. |
Biography* | 1770 | This is the husband of Molly and probably a brother of John and Mathew Killmon. This assumption is based on the fact that his widow, Molly, was living in the Guilford area in 1800 and Mathew and John's widow, Elizabeth, were both living on Jobes Island, which was on the southern shoreline entrance to Guilford Creek. He would also be the father of Samuel Killmon Sr. (1785-dec), who was listed in the 1850 Acc Census as Samuel (of S). Therefore, his name would also most likely have been Samuel(?). There is no other Samuel found who would have been old enough to be his father. He must have died before 1800, as his wife Molly "Kilman" was listed as the head of a household in Acc Parish in 1800. Since he nor his wife Molly left a will, there is no positive proof for the children listed below. However, John and Mathew Killmon both left wills and their named heirs have all been traced. Therefore, the remainder of the Killmons of Acc Parish of this period are assumed to have been the children of Samuel(?) and Molly. |
Marriage* | circa 1770 | He married Molly (-----) circa 1770. |
Death* | before 1800 | Samuel(?) died before 1800.2 |

Biography* | | Alfred J. Killman, age 2, was in the 1850 Acc Parish HH#713 of Samuel (of J.) Killman and his wife Jane. Samuel and Jane were not listed in the 1860 Acc Co census, but Alfred J. Kilmon, age 21 and a mariner, is listed as the son of John and Virginia Killman on his 1870 Acc Co marriage record. In later census, Alfred lists himself as a grocer. Alfred's parents, Samuel and Jane, may have died in the small pox epidemic of the 1850's and Alfred went to live with his uncle, John Killmon and wife Virginia. This would explain why Alfred listed his parents on his marriage record as John and Virginia Killmon. |

Biography* | | The assumption that this Ezekiel Kilmon (Jr) is the son of Ezekiel Kilmon and Polly Parks is based on these (weak) facts: 1) Exekiel (Sr) had a son, aged 0-10 in 1820; 2) his surviving wife Polly had only one son living with her in 1830, aged 15-20; 3) Ezekiel (Jr) first appears as a head of household in 1840, aged 20-30; and 4) he could have been named after his father. In his will written 23 Nov 1900 he named a wife Katharine L. Killmon and at her death to the heirs of George B. Killmon (relationship not noted). The sale of his personal property was to go to John W. Killman (relationship not noted) and Katharine S. Hart (relationship not noted) and if they die before possion, to the youngest son of George B.
