Biography* | | George H. Bundick, apparently named for his two grandfathers, was born in 1815 according to his age when he married the second time in 1888. The 1850 Federal Census for Acc Parish, Acc Co, shows George H. Bundick, aged 37, as head of HH#315. His wife, Ann Bundick, was also 37 and they had 6 children: Mary aged 12, Thomas aged 11, Elizabeth aged 9, George aged 6, Margaret aged 4, and William aged 1. In 1860, George H. Bundick was head of HH#166/180 in St. Geroge Parish, Acc Co, near the town of Accomac. His age was given as 44 years and his wife's as 46. They had the same children in their household, with the exception of their eldest daughter Mary. No record has been found of George H. Bundick buying or selling land. The census records all report he owned no real estate. Mr. George H. Bundick, aged 82 years, died on the last day of 1896 at his home at Pastoria (Pen. Ent., 16 Jan 1897). No tombstone has been found for him or either of his wives. He did not leave a will, nor has an administration of his estate been found. |
