| Obituary - Father's* | 27 October 1913 | She was named in her father's obituary on 27 October 1913 at Bayonne, Hudson Co, NJ. Funeral services of John T. Taylor, for many years a well-known figure in the northern section of Bayonne, will be held to-night at his late home, 32 East Forty-fourth Street. They will be conducted by his nephew, Rev. Gilbert D. Fisher of Hurley, NY. A delegation from Varick Lodge No. 31, F. & A.M., of which the deceased was a member, will attend. Interment will be made tomorrow at Westfield. Mr. Taylor was born in Accomac, VA, in 1829. At the age of 21 he came to Jersey City, living there about 40 years. He was tyler to Varick Lodge for thirty-six years. He moved to Bayonne in 1893 and had many friends in the northern section of the city. He was of a quiet, retiring disposition. A widow and seven children survive him. The latter are Mrs. Nelson E. Brown of Hyannis, Mass; Mrs. Leslie A. Brown of Jersey City, John D. Taylor of Westfield, and Franck C. Taylor, Mrs. Grace E. Mott, George A. Taylor and Mrs. Weda Van Riper, all of Bayonne.6 |
