Death*30 June 1947Rachel Ann Nelson died on 30 June 1947 at Baltimore, MD, at age 89. One of the city's oldest and best known matrons, Mrs. Rachel A. Ford, died at the Opitz Nursing Home in Baltimore on Monday evening at the age of 90 years. She had been a resident of the Home for the past two years. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Nancy Nelson and the widow of the late William H. Ford. Mrs. Ford had been an active woman until a few years ago when ill health curtailed her activities. She had lived with her husband and family on Chesapeake Avenue for many years, and had been a fine neighbor and friend whose fine qualities were appreciated by all who knew her. Wheatley, and interment was beside the body of her husband in Asbury cemetery. She is survived by five sons, Wm. H. Ford, of Washington, D. C., B. Horace Ford of Crisfield, Sherman U. Ford, V.
