She was thirty eight years old, and had been ill for about ten days with pneumonia. She was a native of St. James' Parish, Louisiana and was educated at the Virginia Episcopal Female Seminary. Her husband, who has for years had a large practice, has frequently carried to his poor patients delicacies prepared by the hands of this tender-hearted lady. Her death is a great loss to her family, her church and the community in which she lived. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, her mother and a brother, all of whom were with her at the time of her death.
