Oscar was 82 years old. He was born in Victoria, Arkansas, in 1937 the son of Ollie and Estelle Dhority. Oscar was preceded in death by his wife, Ivadene; his parents; his brothers, Thomas, Louis, and Ollie Jr; and his sisters, Lucy, Jean, Jewel, Lois, Molly, and Donnie Mae. He is survived by his daughter, Tamela Thornes (Dennis) of Cape Charles; his son, Jerimy Curtis (Sara) of Steinbach, Germany; 2 granddaughters; his sisters, Anna, Martha, Bonnie and Pat; his brother, Kirt (Shirley); and many very special nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. There will be no viewing or funeral service. He will be interred beside his wife of 63 years in Richland, Pennsylvania. The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. The family would also like to thank the nurse angels, Marie, Pat, Begonia and Ticia of Intrepid Hospice for their care, love, and kindness both to him and his daughter and his son in law Dennis during the period of his transitioning. Teaching was her passion and she left her mark on many students over her long distinguished career. Even though she had retired from the mainstream classroom many years ago, Ivadene continued to teach right up until her passing. She worked as an adult educator and GED instructor in Decatur County, Tenn. Surviving her are her husband of 51 years, Oscar Dhority, and her daughter, Tamela Dhority. George Scott petitioned that he has land on one side of Hunting Creek Branch and is desirous to build a public water grist mill and that Robert Turnall, who owns the land on the opposite side of the branch refuses to sell an acre of land for this purpose. Spencer Drummond and John Willet viewed the land in questioned and certified that the 1 acre will not take away any houses, orchards, etc. belonging to the said Robert Turnall and valued it at 5 shillings, which the said Scott paid to the said Robert in their presence, which the said subscribers put the said Scott in possession of the said land. The 1788 survey showed the Bayly half to be 172 1/2 acres in addition to the Rowley part before mentioned. The same survey laid off 46 acres at the extreme east end, which Bayly exhanged with Daniel Melson for 72 acres of A100. The survey called the whole tract Finlay's Point.3,4 |

D. ____, the said Mary & her then husband, Robert Snead, conveyed the said Mary's 1/2 part of the premises unto the said John Snead & his heirs; That on the ____ day of ____ A. D. ____ , the said John Snead conveyed the said 1/4 part to a certain George Booth, which said Booth is since deceased and his said undivided 1/4 part has descended to the first named George Booth; That the said George Booth, the son, by his deed dated ____ conveyed to the said Severn Guthrey 150 acres of the premises and by another deed conveyed to a certain John Booth 50 acres of the said premises, which said land was conveyed by the said John Booth to the said Guthrey, so that the said Guthrey now holds 1/3 part of one undivided 1/4 part, the property originally of the said Mary, devisee and daughter of the said West, and the said George Booth of the other 1/3 part of the said 1/4 part; That the said Catherine, another of the said daughters, by her deed in writing devised to her son the said Smith Snead her undivided 1/4 part; That the said Anne, another of the daughters of the said John West, by her deed dated July 1746, conveyed to her son Scarburgh Sparrow her undivided 1/4 part of the premises; That the said Scarburgh Sparrow conveyed the said 1/4 part of the premises to the said Smith Snead, and that the said Smith Snead has since by his deed conveyed to the said George Scott & his heirs 2/3 of the last named undivided 1/4 part of the premises, and that the said Scott conveyed to his two sons, the said John and George Scott, Jr., the one moiety of his 1/3 part of the said undivided 1/4 part of the premises.
