He was a retired carpenter from Civil Service and was a member of Melfa United Methodist Church. He was Past Worshipful Master of Central Lodge #300 A.F.&A.M; a member of Jewel Royal Arch Chapter #49, Onancock; a member of Malta #24 Knights Templar; a member of Khedive Temple, Norfolk; a lifetime member of Melfa Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad; and a member of the Lion's Club. He was former Mayor and Councilman for the Town of Melfa and had served on the Accomack County IDA. Other than his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Rudiger of Melfa; two grandsons, John William Rudiger and Franklin Todd Rudiger and wife Teresa; and a great-granddaughter, Sierra Kathryn Rudiger. He had a brother Alfred Lee Kilmon. Funeral services were conducted from the graveside at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Onancock on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Carmen R.
