She was daughter of Dr. William W. Alston and Mary Elizabeth Burton, and she was granddaughter of Gov. Hutchins Gordon Burton and Sarah Welsh Jones of North Carolina.
Pattie Alston Jordan and Dr. Walter Baker Jordan lived at "Springfield" farm in Carrollton from their marriage in 1871 until the death of Dr. Walter Baker Jordan.
In 1895, Pattie married her second husband Henry R Parker and had one son, John Riley Parker. Henry R Parker had been a close friend of the family and served as one of the pallbearers in the funeral of Dr. Walter Baker Jordan. A few years after the death of Mr. Parker, Pattie sold "Springfield" in 1907 to her brother-in-law (Joe Jordan) and moved the children to the Berkeley section of Norfolk along with her elderly mother.2 
Burial*Martha was buried at Saint Luke's Cemetery, Smithfield, Isle of Wight Co, VA.2

In 1871, he retired to his farm in Carrollton, "Springfield," where he had an extensive orchard. He passed away on Christmas Eve 1892 while out selecting a Christmas tree for the children.1

She was evidently dec'd by this date as her mother Anges Parker named a granddaughter Lucinda Henry Parker in her will and gave her 1/2 dozen silver table spoons which she had purchased from the estate of Samuel W. Colonna. Anna's first name is based on Lucinda Walker's 1921 death certificate, showing her as a 93 year old widow, the daughter of ____ Parker and Anna Parker (both born in Acco Co). The information was give by Henry West of Keller, Va. (NOTE: Anna may have been an unwed mother.)1,2

Henry West of Keller, Va. reported the death of Lucinda Walker, a white widowed female, who died 1 Feb 1921, age about 93 years, born in Acco Co, the daughter of ____ Parker (born Acco Co) and Anna Parker (born Acco Co). She was buried in Onancock Cemetery. (NOTE: His full name was Richard Henry West, her son-in-law, having married her daughter Sally Walker about 1889, who was his second cousin. He was a great-grandson of Capt. Henry Parker (1767-1818) & his wife Agnes (288) West (1768-1839). In her will Agnes named a grand-daughter Lucinda Henry Parker. Based on the information he provided on Lucinda's death certificate, Lucinda was evidently the daughter of a deceased daughter Anna Parker, who may haver married a Parker.)6

HH#256 was headed by Henry West, age 63, who owned his own home valued at $4500, first married at age 22. Listed with him was Sarah West, a 70 year old wife, first married at age 27.7 
Death*9 August 1941He died on 9 August 1941 at Keller, Pungoteague District, Accomack Co, VA, at age 74. He was shown as Richard Henry West, who died 9 Aug 1941. He was married to Sarah E. West, age 74yr 11mon & 9day, born in Accomack Co, Forman of State Road. He was the son of Richard West (born Acco Co) and Sally Phillips (born Acco Co). He was buried in Holly's Cemetery on 11 Aug 1941. (NOTE: Using his given death date and his exact age as shown above, he would have been born 31 Aug 1866, which agrees with his age in the 1870 & 1880 census.)1,8 
Burial*Richard was buried at Hollies Baptist Church Cemetery, Keller, Accomack Co, VA. His tombstone shows him as R. Henry West, the husband of S.E. West.3
