Findagrave shows Cornelius Burton had significant real estate as well as personal estate in Indian River when he died, having been predeceased by his son John Milby Burton (Dec. 1810-Oct 1812). Left a widow, Sarah Burton, nee Burton, who he married on February 17, 1810, and twins Ann Parker Burton and John Cornelius Burton b. 12 Dec 1812.3

Harriet was born in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Sigmund and Gertrude (Northam) Lisowski. She was united in matrimony with Charles T. Hindsley on January 9, 1954. Harriet devoted her life to being a kind, compassionate, Christian woman. She took great pride in being a wonderful homemaker, loving wife, caring and nurturing mother and grandmother, and devoted friend. Harriet cherished the holiday and birthday gatherings that would bring all of her family and friends together in celebration. She touched the lives of everyone she met. To know her was to love her. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her beloved husband of 63 years, Chuck, she is survived by her children, Cheryl Peronti (Domenick), Cindy Fontana (Ron), Kim Alvarez (John) and Charles Jr; her sisters, Betty Unger, Margaret Gode, and Patricia Craig (Bill); her 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and members of her extended family, and a host of lifelong friends. In addition to her parents, Harriet was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Saienni; her grandson, Justin Nally; and sister, Shirley Emery. Harriet's family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Johns Hopkins Hospital; Compassionate Care Hospice, especially Diane and Chaplain Mark; and to Father Lewis and Father Piekarski, who gave personal medical and spiritual care over her last days. Family and friends are invited to visit from 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons of her first marriage, Marvin Scott of Baltimore, Preston of Fruitland, and Lake Scott of Salisbury; three daughters by her second husband, Mrs. Johnny Nelson of New Castle, Mrs. Rudy Hall of Marion Station, and Miss Helen Faye Northam of Crisfield. A sister, Mrs. Florence Turner of Baltimore; and 12 grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Bradshaw and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Walter L. Beckwith, pastor of Asbury Methodist Church. Burial was in Sunnyridge Memorial Park. The Crisfield Times, Crisfield, Maryland, Friday, November 15, 1963, p. 8.1
