John (of Abraham) Lambertson1,2,3
M, b. circa 1703, d. before 24 February 1756
Birth* | circa 1703 | John (of Abraham) Lambertson was born circa 1703 at Pocomoke Hundred, Worcester Co, MD.1 |
Anecdote* | | When Mary Frances Carey worked on the Lambertson family of the Eastern Shore in 1986, her purpose was to try to figure out how a James Lambertson (there was a James Lambertson living with Abraham Lambertson on the 1727 tax list), who ended up in N.C. by 1740, fit into the Eastern Shore Lambertsons. Her Lambertson Chart shows the John, d. int. 1756, the James of N.C. and a Robert d. 1762-1768 on the chart as sons of Abraham. More recent work by Ed Wright and Rob Hall does not show these folks as sons of Abraham. However, they do show the Thomas (m. Leah Jenkins) & his sister Katherine were the children of the John d. int. 1756 and not of Elias. Mary Frances put a "?" on them being the children of Elias. The John d. int. 1756 may have been the son of Abraham, but since Abraham died without a will, it is not proven.4 |
Marriage* | circa 1750 | He married Sarah Midgley, daughter of Thomas Midgley and Margaret (-----), circa 1750 at Worcester Co, MD.2 |
Death* | before 24 February 1756 | John (of Abraham) Lambertson died before 24 February 1756 at Worcester Co, MD. It was on this date that the inventory of John Lamberson was filed by John Truitt and James Ruark, admins. Signed as next of kin: Sarah Lamberson & Martha Sullyvan.1,3 |
