Her obituary shows her as Mrs. Addie Victoria Tilghman, aged 65 years, widow of the late W. B. H. Tilghman of Jamesville, passed peacefully to her reward after an illness of about three weeks on August 12th, at the home of her son, W. M. E. Tilghman at Nassawadox. Funeral services took place at his home the next day, conducted by Rev. Hudson. Burial was in the Belle Haven Cemetery. The following grandchildren acted as pall-bearers: Messrs. Harold Allan and Edward Tilghman, Thomas Turner, Harry M. Tilghman. The floral tributes were numerous and handsome, and a large congregation of friends and relatives were present to pay their respect to their lost one. She is survived by four sons, W. M. E. Tilghman and Paul Tilghman of Exmore, and Clayton Tilghman of Machipongo, and five daughters: Mrs. Henry Turner, and Mrs. Allan Somers, of Jamesville; Mrs. Jeff Killmon, Jr., of Wardtown; Mrs. Shelley Lingo and Mrs. Rob Dutton, of Eastville, besides a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
