Will - Father's9 December 1808Mary was named in her father's will on 9 December 1808 at Northampton Co, VA. In his will Thorogood West lend to loving wife during her widowhood the whole of my lands and the whole of my personal estate. I give to my son Nathaniel West the whole of my land after his mother dies or marries. My will is that the whole of my personal estate be divided equally between my children Samuel S. West, Isaac Y. West, Susannah West and Mary West. I constitute and appoint Charles West my whole and sole executor. Signed, Thorogood West. Witnesses: Charles West, Walter Kellum and John Simpson.1 
Will - Brother's31 March 1817Mary was named in her brother's will on 31 March 1817 at Northampton Co, VA. In his will Samuel West gave beloved wife the girl called Sucky and the boy called Levy Negroes. If an heir lawfully from my body I give to it two thirds of the property I do poses and ever shall poses and if not I do lend my beloved wife the whole of my property that I posese and ever shall persese of my father's estate during the time that she lives my widow & if my wife Margaret West should marry or die I give two thirds of my property to my sister Mary West and the other third to my sister Susan West it is my request that my brother Nathaniel West should settle my estate.
