Biography*Thelma Kelly Drinkard wrote the following: I have written down a few true things that I have been, I have seen, or experience in my 93 years of life, and I hope someone will enjoy hearing them. Married to James Edward Drinkard born 01/31/03. We had four children: Mildred Lucille Drinkard born 7/4/25, twin boys born 2/10/31 Robert Edward Drinkard and James Donald Drinkard, another boy Nelson Keith Drinkard born 11/17/40. We married 8/23/23. Lived together 63 years before Ed died. When my father left the eastern shore, he came here to help build a railroad. He came early to find a house for his family to live in and that was in 1907. The Drinkard's had moved out of the log cabin and moved up to the big house, and Mr. Will's mother and father, so my papa rented the cabin and sent back to the shore for the family. The cabin had 3 large rooms, quite comfortable. Mama and Papa slept downstairs and the four children upstairs, a big kitchen and dining room. I was born there, and Daddy Ed was born there 5 years before that.
