Will - Witnessed*6 November 1764Benston witnessed a will on 6 November 1764 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Elijah Watson, Benson Bradford and Elizabeth Stringer witnessed the will of Sarah Watson.3 
Land bought*1766He bought land in 1766 at tract A64, between Melfa & Onley, east of Rt 13, Accomack Co, VA. In 1766 William and Rachel Coleburn sold 80 acres to Benston Bradford who later added this to his holdings. No record of his death was noted, but in 1803 his other heirs united in a deed to another Benston Bradford, presumably a son, for 125 acres. A Benjamin Bradford was a later owner and a survey showed that the land was bounded on the east by the seaside road and on the north by the first crossroad south of Burton's Branch.2 
Death*1794He died in 1794. The Mears Collection shows he married a Custis (-----) and died in 1794.1

(Source: Acc Deed Bk 14, 1812-1815, p. 94) On 28 Apr 1813 it was ordered that Sarah Bradford was to be privately examined apart from Abel Bradford her husband and be made known to her the contents of the annexed deed.
