Anecdotebetween 1826 and 1836 The index to the Accomack Orphan Accounts from 1826 to 1836 do not show any Teackles. It seems if the Ann Teackle who married William Gladstone in 1832, was a daughter of James J. Teackle who died by 29 May 1828 when she was still under age 18, she would have been named in an orphan account as well as in his will and estate settlement.3

She married William Gladstone in 1832 and according to the William Gladson (Gladstone) Bible she was the daughter of James J. Teackle.4
Anecdote22 February 1830 It is not evident why a daughter Ann was not named in the settlement of the estate of Col. James J. Teackle which was recorded on 22 Feb 1830. She would have been about 19 years old at this time. She married William Gladstone in 1832, and according to the William Gladson (Gladstone) Bible she was the daughter of James J. Teackle.5
