John Williams in 176- by his petition to the Orphans Court praying to appoint 5 substantial freeholders to divide the premisses, which was granted and who made a return that the premises would not bear a division, on 16 Dec 1763 Court appointed Thomas Clark esqr, William Rhodes and Zachariah Goforth, who valued the same at 17 shillings, 6 pence per a., Mark Manlove being the eldest brother accepted the several lotts and shares.3

Land Division of*26 August 1763John Williams was named in a division of land on 26 August 1763 at Kent Co, DE. Mark Manlove, Junr., of Kent Co. yeoman one of the sons and heirs of Absolem Manlove of same co., dec'd., and John Williams of same co. yeoman and Rachel his wife formerly Rachel Manlove dau. to the afsd. Absolem Manlove by virtue of an order of Court and £268.12.6 sold to Isaac King of Mispillion Hundred same co., a tract of land, whereas the afsd. Absolem Manlove in his life time by sundry good and mesne conveyances became seized in a parcel of land part of 2 tracts the one called Farms Elsworth formerly laid out for Daniel Brown, the other called The Exchange formerly laid out for Peter Groundick in Murtherkill Hundred which land was conveyed by deed of gift to the afsd. Absolem Manlove by a certain Mark Manlove, father to the said Absolem Manlove (Book N, fol. 273) on n. side of the main branch of Murther Creek and s. side of Spring Branch adj. Owen Griffin's land, 307 a. and being so seized Absolem Manlove died intestate and administration was committed unto Margaret Manlove, and whereas the afsd. John Williams in 176- by his petition to the Orphans Court praying to appoint 5 substantial freeholders to divide the premisses, which was granted and who made a return that the premises would not bear a division, on 16 Dec 1763 Court appointed Thomas Clark esqr, William Rhodes and Zachariah Goforth, who valued the same at 17 shillings, 6 pence per a., Mark Manlove being the eldest brother accepted the several lotts and shares.2
