To son William one feather bed that testator now lies on, one gray mare and colt, testator’s one riding horse, and one young horse running in Liz’s neck for the use and behalf of the schooling of my younger son Woney McClemmy, one negroe man named Bosen. To son William testator's part of Pocomoke Bridge for use during his lifetime. To wife Eliza, one feather bed, one negroe wench during her lifetime named Phillis and after her decease to be equally divided between daughters Martha and Helenor McClemmy. To wife one white working guilding and one gray mare. To daughter Martha one feather bed and one white mare and colt. Born in Nassawadox, she was the daughter of the late Duncan Boggs and Alma Taylor Boggs. She is survived by her sister, Sue Boggs; cousins, Joan T. Flowers and Grayson Chesser; and several other beloved family members. Rebecca was retired from the Federal Government, having worked both in Philadelphia, PA and Washington D.C. After returning home to the Shore, she worked for Chesapeake Bay ASAP, until her retirement in 2012. She was a member of Assawoman United Methodist Church and the Francis Makemie Society. Rebecca had a deep and abiding love for the lonely, the last and the lost. In her prayer life, she would pray for those who had no one to pray for them. Her love of children everywhere was her greatest gift. Immigrated*1823He immigrated in 1823 to Philadelphia, PA. John Perry emigrated to Philadelphia, PA where he lived first on Lombard Street and later on Walnut Street, both of which are in the old part of town. Mills along the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers attracted tradesmen and John worked as a cotton weaver. He engaged in the textile industry and then he and his brother Edward acquired the ownership of a cotton manufacturing business. John sold the business two days before the Battle of Gettysburg, thinking the Confederates were coming to Philadelphia. He had apparently massed a competency of fifty thousand dollars. John invested in the Reading Railroad and lost practically all his money..1

John's granddaughter, Madge Perry, remembers seeing him in his rocking chair at 309 South 12th Street after he retired. In 1991 that townhouse was on a clean, quiet street of well-kept townhouse homes.1
