It appears this was the same 150 acres his father left him in his will of 1747, saying it was a tract given him by his father, Bartholomew Mears, and "the Plantation whereon he (son John) now lives." This land would have been the southwestern half of 300 acres acres of land that Bartholomew Mears owned, on the northeastern side of Beaver Dam Branch, located on present day maps in the Trower-Frogstool area of Acc Co, west of Wachapreague..

It was on this date that John Mears "the Elder" and Sabra his wife, for their natural love and affection for their son, plus 10 pounds, gave to John Mears "the Younger" 150 acres near "Wachapreague Creek." The deed states this was land Richard Armitrader devised unto his daughter, Sabra Mears (Acc Co Deeds, 1757-1770, part I, p. 161)..
