Death*1 May 1916She died on 1 May 1916 at Northampton Co, VA, at age 19. Miss Mary Elizabeth Hamilton who fell asleep Monday, May 1st, was born January 10th, 1897. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Leonard J. Hamilton and had been in ill health about 14 months. She was taken to a hospital for treatment last August and was thought to be improving but shortly after began to fail. She was highly esteemed by all who knew her as an affectionate daughter and devoted sister. Funeral services were held at Capeville Methodist Church, Tuesday following her death and the remains were interred in the church cemetery beside her father who died several years ago. Miss Hamilton is survived by her mother, two sisters and three brothers, Mesdams Howard and Scott Hamilton; Messrs. William H. Hamilton, Walter L. Hamilton, O.F. Hamilton and C.F. Hamilton.2,1,3

Russell, formerly of this place (Guilford), but for the last six years a resident of Hopkins, VA, died at his home there on July 1st as the result of the bite of a stingaree. Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 2nd with interment in Guilford Cemetery. His widow, two small children, his parents, four sisters, Mrs. J.C. Lucas, Mrs. Geneva Poulson, Misses Carrie and Ruth Russell and one brother, Mr. V.L. Russell of Wilmington, Del, survive him.2 
Burial*Oral was buried at Guilford Church Cemetery, Accomack Co, VA. His tombstone shows him as O. Win Russell, no dates.3

His remains were brought home on Saturday and funeral services were held at the Baptist Church on Monday afternoon. Interment was made in Edge Hill Cemetery. A widow, one daughter by his first marriage, Katherine, of Baltimore, and two sisters, Mrs Sallie Stout(sic) and Mrs. Maude Barnes of upper Accomack, and two brothers, Mr. Claude Hickman of Balitmore and Mr. John W. Hickman of Accomac survive him.1,2
