Jabez Tyler's birth, circa 1765, is based on being over 45 in the 1820 Census (born before 1775) and between 60 and 70 in the 1830 Census (born between 1760 and 1770). He was not listed in the Acc Census of 1800, 1810 nor in 1840 or later..1 
Land bought*26 March 1811Jabez bought land on 26 March 1811 at on Cattail Creek, Acc Co, VA. On 26 Mar 1811, Jabaz Tyler bought 300 acres of land and marsh in Acc Co from William L. Lucas & his wife Nancy for 15 pounds 15 shillings and 6 pence. The land was bounded by Cattail Creek and land owned by John Bird Senr. Ridges named included Cross Ridge, Tech Ridge and Shell Ridge (Acc Co Deeds, 1810-1812, p. 330)..
