Land rec'd as gift*1688He received land as a gift in 1688 at tract N81, Franktown, Northampton Co, VA. It was in this year that John Tilney gave 100 acres of this tract to his son Thomas. In his will of 1700 his son Thomas having died without issue, Colonel Tilney now left the same land to his daughters Mary and Martha, but the later disappeared from the records. In 1728 John Hawkins Sr., and his son of the same name name sold the 100 acres to Marriott Parsons, saying the land had come to them by the marriage of the senior Hawkins to Mary Tilney.3

Will - Father's*6 April 1700Martha was named in her father's will on 6 April 1700 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that John Tilney Gentleman gave his 2 daughters Mary and Martha Tilney 100 acres formerly given to my son Thomas Tilney dec'd.1 
Land rec'd as gift*1700She received land as a gift in 1700 at tract N81, Franktown, Northampton Co, VA. In 1688 John Tilney gave 100 acres of this tract to his son Thomas. In his will of 1700 his son Thomas having died without issue, Colonel Tilney now left the same land to his daughters Mary and Martha, but the later disappeared from the records. In 1728 John Hawkins Sr., and his son of the same name name sold the 100 acres to Marriott Parsons, saying the land had come to them by the marriage of the senior Hawkins to Mary Tilney.3
