Birth*11 April 1692Elizabeth Shiles was born on 11 April 1692 at Somerset Co, MD.2
Anecdote*1700 Although it cannont be proven, probably William Moore's wife was Elizabeth Shiles, the daughter of Thomas Shiles and Naomi Bozman. There were known to be three Elizabeth Shiles. The first Elizabeth Shiles, the daughter of Thomas Shiles Sr. and Alice Major, was born in 1671 and married John Nelson. She was a generation too early to be the wife of William. Another Elizabeth Shiles, the daughter of Edmund Shiles and Elinor Harris, was born in 1737 and died ca. 1766, a spinster. The remaining Elizabeth Shiles, the daughter of Thomas Shiles Jr. and Naomi Bozman, was precisely the right age, about three years younger than William. Also, this Elizabeth Shiles had the name Shiles and Risdon in a direct line of ascent, which accounted for their children being named Shiles and Risdon. The others did not have these names in the direct line of ascent.2
Marriage*circa 1710She married William (36) Moore, son of John Moore I and Anne (9) Minshall, circa 1710 at Somerset Co, MD.3
