Birth*28 December 1765Levin C. Miller was born on 28 December 1765 at Saint Martin, Worcester Co, MD.2
Marriage*24 February 1801He married Nancy Smullen on 24 February 1801 at Somerset Co, MD. They were shown as Levin Miller and Nancy Smulling.3
Death*19 December 1862Levin C. Miller died on 19 December 1862 at Perryhawkin, Somerset Co, MD, at age 96.2
Burial*Levin was buried at Atkinson-Miller Family Plot, Perryhawkin, Somerset Co, MD. Although Levin passed away in 1862, well up into the second decade of the 20th century, his homeplace was known as the Levin Miller farm, although that was the land he gave to his daughter Nancy Causey, on which she and her husband, Franklin built their house c1880. Through family reunion notices in the Princess Anne newspaper, the Marylander and Herald, it has been determined that the family never marked Levin's grave on his homeplace, although they (by that time greatgrandchildren) voted to do so on 5 October 1915. The committee appointed to do this was Rev. W.F. Atkinson, O.H. Miller, Mrs. Mamie Russell, B.T. Dykes, Levin J. Atkinson and E.H. Bounds. In that year, the Levin Miller homestead was described as about 1 1/2 miles from Perryhawkin Church and the group sang "Blest be the Ties That Bind." On 2 October 1917 the soliciting committee of the Miller/Causey Reunion, Mr. Levin J. Atkinson, Mrs. Mamie Russell and B.T. Dykes, again called for monuments to be placed at the family cemetery for the late Mr. and Mrs. Levin Miller and the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Causey. By tracing obituaries of persons buried in the family cemetery on the Causey homeplace (different house) (Levin's homeplace), the obituaries and/or death certificates of the majority of the persons indicate they were interred in the family cemetery on Levin Miller's homeplace. Franklin and Nancy Causey eventually had their graves marked. There are four unmarked graves in the plot. Thus, Levin C. Miller's resting place was rediscovered by a second greatgranddaughter. It is possible that Levin's three other children and spouses, whose graves cannot be found, are buried in this cemetery as it was laid out for 1/4 acre. The other children are: Mary Miller m. Josiah Pusey; Sarah Miller m. Henry J. Curtis and James A. Matthews; and Nathaniel C. Miller m. Elizabeth J. Brown.2

Court - statement in*January 1644William Ennis I's statement was recorded in court records in January 1644 at Accomack-Northampton Co, VA. We William Johnson of Accomack and William Ennis of the same place, planters, for us and either of us, owe and stand indebted unto Nathaniel Littleton, Esquire, £5:12 to be paid or otherwise to ship home so much tobacco as shall discharge the aforesaid sum of monie at or before the last day of January next. Signed William Johnson on 7 June 1641. Witt: John Sevearne & Richard Smyth. Recorded January 1644/45.2
Court - name in stat*10 May 1644He was named in a statement that was recorded in court records on 10 May 1644 at Accomack-Northampton Co, VA. I, Nathaniel Littleton of Accomack in Virginia, Esquire, do acknowledge to have recieved one hogshead of tobacco in leaf, which I promise to deliver a true account either at my return out of England or otherwise to send an account of shipping into this country unto William Johnson or William Ennis, they being indebted unto Nathaniel for £9 for which sum they have shipped the said hogshead of tobacco, in in case the produce thereof shall not raise the full sum of monie, then William Johnson and William Ennis do promise the full satisfaction for the remainder. Court - statement in19 May 1644He's statement was recorded in court records on 19 May 1644 at Accomack-Northampton Co, VA. That we William Johnson and William Ennis of Accomack, planters, do acknowledge outselves indebted unto Nathaniel Littleton 50 shillings to be paid either by shipping home for England tobacco to satisfy the debt or marchantable beaver or corn to the value thereof before 20 Nov next at the house of Nathaniel Littleton in Accomack. Signed William Johnson and the mark of William Ennis.4
Court - defendant*28 May 1644He was a defendant in a court case on 28 May 1644 at Accomack-Northampton Co, VA. The petition of Anne Littleton sayth that William Johnson and William Ennis stand indebted to her for £10 due in the year 1641 for payment whereof they shipped one hogshead of tobacco to England, the produce thereof amounted to 25 shillings sterling. Now the said parties refuse to give a valuable consideration in tobacco according to the rate of the country and she has sustained further damage. The case was refered to a jury and they found Johnson and Ennis are indebted to Nathaniel Littleton £9 and for payment they are to ship tobacco or beaver or corn. They also found that Nathaniel Littleton is bound and has given under his hand to send a true and just account of the tobacco shipped, which we cannot find was sent to either of them so we do not know but the debt may be satisified by the tobacco that has been shipped. Therefore Nathaniel Littleton shall send a true account of the tobacco given under his hand before any further satisfication be made.5
Court - defendant20 September 1644He was a defendant in a court case on 20 September 1644 at Accomack-Northampton Co, VA. Whereas William Johnson and William Ennis owe Nathaniel Littleton £9 for which they were to ship tobacco for England and they shipped one hogshead of tobacco for which Littleton was to give them an account under his hand which was not done. It is therefore ordered by this court that Johnson and Ennis in full satisfication of the £9 pay 850 lbs good tobacco in leaf before the last of December next and Littleton shall allow for the hogshead of tobacco £5:40.6
