Scott as her separate estate, separate and apart from and free from the use and control of her husband the said George T. Scott, yearly for and during the term of their joint lives. At the death of either the said George T. Scott or the said Virginia T. Scott, I give and bequeath the whole of my estate to my grandson William T. Scott and any other child or children of the said George T. Scott and Virginia T. Scott. In case the said George T. Scott shall survive his wife and the said William T. Scott should die without issue and before attaining the age of twenty one years I give and bequeath all my said estate to my son George T. Scott for and during the term of his natural life and no longer and at his death I give and bequeath the Negroes to be equally divided between the children of Sarah A. Stockley and the children of Elizabeth Mapp (wife of Victor A. Mapp) and the other portion of my estate I desire shall be divided into four equal parts, three parts to go to the children of Sarah A. Stockley (wife of Thomas S. Stockley) and the children of Elizabeth Mapp. The fourth part to go to the said Virginia T. Scott during her life provided she remain the widow of my son George T. Scott and at her death or if she marry to be equally divided between the children of Sarah A. Stockley and Elizabeth Mapp. I appoint my son George T. Scott executor. Signed, Elizabeth N. Scott. Will - Father's*13 January 1751Spencer was named in his father's will on 13 January 1751 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as son Spencer Coleburn in the will of William Coleburn, wife Temperance and named heir-at-law at probate. According to Whitelaw William Coleburn and his wife Temperance left part of tract A46 to his son Spencer under certain conditions, otherwise it was to go to his son William. The records following are not clear, and it is believed that Spencer retained the land, but in 1778 he died intestate and no record was found of his wife or children. Then in 1788 a Revell Coleburn sold 100 acres which had been left to him by his father (no record found). The buyer was Zorobabel Kellam, whose daughter Sabra married Thomas Coleburn.2,3 
Land bought*1757He bought land in 1757 at Accomack Co, VA. It was in this year that Spencer Coleburn bought 40 acres of tract A48 from Elijah Chance and in 1774 Elijah and Leah Chance sold him 8 acres more; in 1772 Coleburn had bought 12 acres from Jacob Chance. Then in 1786 Revel Coleburn, son of Spencer, with his wife Margaret, sold 70 acres to Reuben Beach.4

Living*circa 1830He and Margaret 'Peggy' Polk were living circa 1830 at Henry County, Indiana. Revel and Margaret (Polk) Colburn were well educated and though advanced in years he taught school for several terms after settling in Indiana. His wife was a physician and engaged in active practice. A sovereign remedy administered by her for the prevalent disease of malaria was "Rock Oil," put up in small bottles, and now known as petroleum, which was skimmed from the surfaces of springs. For the descendants of Revel and Margaret (Polk) Colburn see the book Polk Family and Kinsmen, page 719, by W.H. Polk.2 
Death*24 February 1844Revell Coleburn died on 24 February 1844 at Henry County, Indiana, at age 79.2
