Anecdote*circa 1807 There is a record in the N'hamp Co Orphan Accounts # 2, 1785-1813, p. 414-415, in which William Hughes Williams and his sister Mary are named as the orphans of John Williams and Nancy Williams, widow, is paid for their support.2 
Anecdote1813 In 1813 young William Hughes Williams, age 10, served as a substitute to answer roll call for James West from 30 Sep to 4 Nov 1813, in the 27th Virginia Militia, and was paid $9.33 for his service. He is listed in the Muster Role of the 27th, thereby qualifying as a veteran of the War of 1812. He was shown as Pvt. Will H. Williams in Capt. Henry Scarborough's Co of Artillery, 27 Reg't Virginia Militia, War of 1812.2

Mike and Rosie Barbely (perhaps the name should have been Borbely) immigrated along with 6 or 7 year old son, Lewis, through Ellis island in 1902-03 from Teth, Hungary. They at first settled in Pittsburgh area - Mike worked in steel mills - moved to Akron, Ohio and worked manufacturing tires. After a trip back to Hungary around 1911-12, and not liking what they saw in Europe, Lewis and parents moved back to USA, but this time to Fairfield farm near Spence in Worcester Co, MD and became real farmers. That was home till 1944. Robert and Earl were born there..2
