Savage of Texas had Y-DNA test results showing a 97.28% chance of a common male ancestor 8 generations back. M.K. then documented that C.W. Savage was 8 generations from Capt. Rowland Savage (1720-1785) of Accomack Co, VA and that Robert E. Savage was 7 generations from Levin Savage (1750-1837) of Surry Co, NC. Therefore, the Y-DNA test results, combined with the documentation of both lines, proves that Levin Savage of Surry Co, NC was a son of Capt. Rowland Savage of Accomack Co, VA.
