On 29 Jun 1725 Joseph Summers, only surviving son of William Summers dec'd, who was one of the sons of Benjamin Summers, planter, dec'd, conveyed to Southy Wittington, gentleman, 1/3 of a tract called "Emessex" containing 250 acres, 85 acres, which said 85 acres was part of the tract granted on 17 Nov 1677 to above named Benjamin Summers, dec'd, who by his will of 2 Feb 1709, did give to his son William Summers dec'd and to his brothers Thomas and John Summers, the aforesaid tract which said William Summers at the time of his death left issue to 3 sons: Benjamin, William and the above named Joseph, party to the presents and died intestate as also the said Benjamin, William, the brothers of said Joseph are both of them dec'd intestate without issue by now in whereof the sole right of the said third party of the said 550 acres is wholly vested in Joseph and also one other tract calle "Little Worth" in Annamessex containing 100 acres acres..4

It was on this date that Joseph Summers, only surviving son of William Summers dec'd, who was one of the sons of Benjamin Summers, planter, dec'd, conveyed to Southy Wittington, gentleman, 1/3 of a tract called "Emessex" containing 250 acres, 85 acres, which said 85 acres was part of the tract granted on 17 Nov 1677 to above named Benjamin Summers, dec'd, who by his will of 2 Feb 1709, did give to his son William Summers dec'd and to his brothers Thomas and John Summers, the aforesaid tract which said William Summers at the time of his death left issue to 3 sons: Benjamin, William and the above named Joseph, party to the presents and died intestate as also the said Benjamin, William, the brothers of said Joseph are both of them dec'd intestate without issue by now in whereof the sole right of the said third party of the said 550 acres is wholly vested in Joseph and also one other tract calle "Little Worth" in Annamessex containing 100 acres acres..1
