I realize that fact that upon the death of my said mother, the said Emma V. Boggs, all the personal property then belonging to her passed to the said Littleton T. Boggs, she having died without a will. But prior to her death she expressed the wish that I should receive all her personal property and effects, and consequently, the said Littleton T. Boggs, in pursuance of the said request made on the part of my said mother, has made the said gift to me and turned over the said property, although he, of course, was not legally bound to do so.3
