Marriage*16 December 1839He married Ann Elizabeth Floyd, daughter of John Kendall Floyd and Ann Stockley Teackle, on 16 December 1839 at Northampton Co, VA. Mrs. Anne S. Floyd was the security on the M.L.B. of her daughter Ann Elizabeth Floyd to John Stratton Parker (s/o Dr. Jacob G. & Anne (Stratton) Parker). They were married on 18 Dec 1839.2,3 
Census head*1850John was listed as a head of household in the census of 1850 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as John S. Parker the head of HH#256, a 38 year old farmer with real estate valued at $12,000. Listed with him were the following Parkers: Ann, age 29; Margaret S., age 9; Lucy S., age 7; Annie F., age 2.4 
Death*3 September 1889John died on 3 September 1889 at age 77. He died at the age of 77 years, 5 months & 21 days. John S. Parker died at Eyre Hall, the residence of his son-in-law, Severn Eyre. He was the son of the late Dr. Jacob G. Parker. He leaves a widow, two single and two married children. One of the latter is the wife of Caleb C. Willard, proprietor of the (Ellill?) House in Washington, DC. The other is the wife of Severn Eyre of Baltimore. The cause of death was attributed to Blood-Poison, the results of a disease from which he had been a sufferer for years. Interment in the family burying ground..5
