Biography*Tabithia Hall is mentioned in her grandfather John Shay's will, but not in her father Henry Hall nor her mother Molly (Shay) Hall's wills. It is therefore assumed that she predeceased her father. Since there were 7 white females listed in the 1800 census with her father, she is probably one of the (-----) Hall daughters listed, but which one has not been determined. Otherwise there would have been 8 daughters.

Birth*circa 1720Daniel was born circa 1720 at Accomack Co, VA.
Anecdote*28 June 1743 On 28 Jun 1743 Daniel Hall and other inhabitants on the north side of Massongo and Sexes Island (sic) petitioned that they had no road from the Main Road down the neck, and some them lived five or six miles from the road that they were obliged to clear. Ordered that John Snead and Robert Corbin view the place where they wanted the new road and lay it out for them.2
Biography*1785Daniel Hall is mentioned in Whitelaw, p1274, in describing the ownership of tract A151, which Daniel inherited from his grandmother, Catherine, through his mother Catherine and her husband John Hall. In 1785 Daniel Hall left to his son Henry, and in 1810 he (Henry) (wife Molly) left the eastern 120 acres to his son Thomas and the western home part of 126 acres to his son Henry. Daniel is also mention on p1280, in describing the ownership of A158, which is just to the west of Sanford and extents to the Pocomoke River. In 1770 Jonathan and Joyce Mears sold 100 acres to Daniel Hall, it being part of the land which had been bought from Simon Smith, Jr. In 1784 Daniel Hall (the year before his death) sold to John Silverthorne. He is also mentioned on p1293, in describing tract A162, which is in the Bullbegger area. In 1755 Thomas and Capewell Stockley, sons of Thomas, of New Hanover county, in the province of North Carolina, sold to Daniel Hall. In 1785 Hall left to his son Dixon, who was then living here. In 1820 Dixon Hall left the major part to his son Luther and the balance to his son Erastus. In 1822 Luther sold a surveyed 169 acres to Caleb Duncan, and two years later 58 acres which had belonged to Erastus were surveyed for a division among his heirs. These surveys revealed that Erastus' land was at the east end, while Luther's land was along the road. Daniel Hall is also mentioned on p1316, in describing the ownership of A170, which is just southwest of New Church. In 1755 John Stockley sold a portion of the tract to Daniel Hall, who in 1757 sold 200 acres to Andrew Simpler of Worcester Co, MD. Daniel Hall's will, written 4 June 1784, probated 23 Feb 1785 and further proved by Susanna Riley, a witness thereto, on 27 Apr 1785, specified: ITEM - To my daughter Susanna Kennet all the negroes and cash and all of everything that she hath in her possession that ever was mine and also 10 pounds current money of Virginia.
