That at the time of the death of said Shadrack Travis left other children as well as your orators and oratrixes; you orators and oratrixes have the following names, to-wit: William Travis, Shadrack Travis, William Warren and Peggy his wife, and Meshack Travis and Molly Travis aforesaid, and Dennard Travis is also son of Shadrack Travis dec'd. At the death of the said Shadrack Travis his land went according to his will to your orators and oratrixes and Dennard Travis aforesaid, which land has since been divided in equal parts to them as the will aforesaid gave it, leaving to the widow Rachel Travis, her dower, which was found on survey to be 47 1/2 acres. That the widow, Rachet Travis, departed this life on the __ day of __, A.D. 18__, and your orators and oratrixes are advised that on the death of the said Rachel Travis the 47 1/2 acres of land, her dower, was the property of them, you said orators and oratrixes and the said Dennard Travis, and subject to be equally divided between them &c. -----.7 
Land bought1830He bought land in 1830 at tract N52, Matchipungo, Northampton Co, VA. Elizabeth Parramore was found to be the owner of this part of tract N52 in Matchipungo. No disposition by her was noted, but in 1830 the Extr for the will o William B. Travis (will not found) and his widow Margaret joined in a sale of 70 acres to Dennard Travis. Travis heirs later sold to Thomas L. Kendall.8 
Land bought1836He bought land in 1836 at tract N49, Savage Neck, Northampton Co, VA. Executors for Arthur Upshur sold part of this tract to Denard and Susan Travis and in 1845 a commissioner sold to William S. Wilkins.9 
Land bought*1840He bought land in 1840 at tract N49B (Pleasant Prospect), Savage Neck, Northampton Co, VA. Margaret T. Evans sold this part of the tract (house & 55 acres) to Dennard Travis and 3 years later a commissioner sold to Edward W. Nottingham.10 
Death*before 14 November 1842He died before 14 November 1842 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Dennard Tarvis, widow Susan, was granted to Leonard B. Nottingham with a bond of $20,000.11
