Then in a letter dated 26 Jan 1959 she said her 88 year old Aunt Mattie Fitzhugh may have mixed up the Hills, Hogwoods & Grinnalds when she told her about the two brothers who are supposed to have gone to the north pole. She went on to mention a Jim Grinalds and his sister Erin, who were the son and daughter of Richard Grinnalds, the brother of Tabitha. They lived in Portsmouth and both had large families. Erin married a Nichols and her son is a Roy Nichols who if living now was noted for the wonderful rose garden and some years back exhibited at the flower shows. She went on to say her Aunt Mattie also remembers when Cape Charles had Fairs with racing. She recalls attending Fairs with her father and seeing a Jeff Grinnalds on several ocassions.4
