To wife Betsy Watts the place whereon I now live as her dower in my lands for life & then to my daughter Harriet Wallop with all my other lands, say my Sea Side farm including Mary H. Wallop's dower, my Mifflin farm, also my place in Horn Town during her life then to her issue if she leave any & if none then all the annual profit of the said lands to the poor distressed woman, children & afflicted men that cannot work, for it is my will that not one cent go to uphold pride or laziness within the bounds of the road from Sevan's Gut Bridge, to Wallops Road at the Baptist meeting house, thence down said road to White's store at the cross road, thence to the head of Assawoman Creek to the sea side, thence to the beginning, reserving John S. Wallop's life estate in my Sea Side farm, including Mary H. Wallop's dower during his life & no longer, then to the poor as aforesaid. It is my will & desire that the house keepers within the bounds mentioned shall elect annually 3 men as trustees to superintend the business, in renting out, receiving rents & distributing the proceeds to the most needy & to exhibit a just account annually on the day of election, to be examined by the Court of Accomack County & to be accountable to the poor for any default in the business committed to them. My Negro woman Hester to be free at my death, Clarissa to be free if she will go away to some free state, her children are to serve John S. Wallop, the males until they are 25 & the females until they arrive at age 21 & then to be free. My other property to be divided by law.
