To daughter Nancy Gillet. Son James & daughter Nancy residual legatees. Son John Gillet & brother in law John Smith Exrs. Witt: John Ramsey, Mary Goodin, Esther Savage. In order of probate dated 29 June 1779: Will contested & the Court is of the opinion that the same as to the land is good, and ordered to be recorded, but as to the personal estate, it appearing to the Court that the testator after making his will married a second wife & had 3 children by her now living, & from sundry declarations in his life time of his intention to provide for them, it is also their opinion that he did not continue in the same mind till his death, and that the same amounted to a revocation, & on the motion of John Gillet certificate is granted him for letters of administration.2

Biography*Placing Elishey Stant as the daughter of Edmond and Milky Stant is based on her birth year of circa 1829-30 (1829 in the 1860 census and 1830 in the 1850 census) and the fact that of the possible Stant brothers (Edmond, Gillet, James and William) that were alive in the 1830 cenus, Edmond was the only one to have a female age 0-5 in his household. Also, Elisha and her husband Robert Andrews were living next door to Edmond and Milky Stant in 1870.
