Anecdote*28 September 1882 The wife of Frederick Taylor, living near Atlantic, in the upper part of our county, eloped on last Friday with Jas. Ailworth, to parts unknown. We give the item as a mere matter of news, the parties to the elopement not being of sufficient importance to make it a subject of much comment. The woman to the transaction has figured in our courts in the past a little too disreputably to make her the subject of a sensational article, and of the man a fair estimate may be made of his worth, when we relate that he very generously donated a dollar on leaving to the support of a wife and baby boy he left behind him.8
