Kelly, equally divided, the lot where I now reside, 20 acres, and 12 acres of woodland known as Bull's Woods. My 2 lots in Onancock to be sold, and the proceeds entered into my estate. To each of my granddaughters, Margaret Susan Bull, Bettie Lilliston, Keziah Hopkins and Mary Fox, children of my dau. Elizabeth Fox, $500. To each of the children of my son Abel G. Kelly $100. Death*14 October 1902He died on 14 October 1902 at Justiceville, Accomack Co, VA, at age 81. Mr. Thomas Russell was killed on Tuesday by a tree falling on him near his home at Justiceville. It is supposed he cut the tree and stepped in the way as it fell, as he was found under the tree dead. He was a very worthy citizen and much respected, aged about 75 years.7

Land bought*1864William H. Green bought land in 1864 at Red Bank or Green Farm, Assawoman, Acc Co, VA. It was in this year that William T. & Margaret L. Conquest sold 138 acres of this tract to William H. Green of Baltimore. In more recent years it was the home of the late John W. Taylor. In the 1811 deed it was called RED BANK; some still call it that, but more generally perhaps it is called GREEN FARM. Part of the existing house may be old, but it has been changed so much that neither a description of picture seems justified. At the bottom of the bank behind the house, at the head of a dredged branch, is now (1950) located the Taylor Yacht Basin, which is a favorite pleasure spot for boat owners in the summer season.4

That Richard Bull the elder being seized of the 50 acres of land in the declaration mentioned, and also other lands mentioned in his will, and being so seized on the 19 June, 1796, made his last will & testament, proved 27 June, 1797, as follows: (abstract) I lend to my wife Bridget Bull during her natural life or widowhood, my whole estate, and at her death or marriage all the land to the south of a line to be run on my plantation, containing 95 acres &c. to my son Teackle Bull; daughters Molly, Betsy & Sally Bull; to son Tobias Bull 50 acres adjoining his brother Teackle; to son Richard Bull 50 acres adjoining Tobias; grandaughters Kitty Bonwell & Nancy Bloxom; dau. Peggy Bayly; sons Teackle & Tobias Ex'rs; That after the death of the said Richard Bull his widow, Bridget Bull, entered upon the said 50 acres of land and was possessed thereof until her death which took place in the year 1807; that Tobias Bull died intestate on or about the month of ____ in the year 1801, leaving Margaret Coxon, the lessor of the plaintiff, his widow, & Jesse Bull his son and Scarburgh Bull his daughter his only children and heirs at law, having left no grandchildren or their descendants that Jesse Bull, the son of the said Tobias Bull, died in the year 1805, an infant and without issue; that the said Scarburgh Bull, the daughter of the said Tobias Bull: died on or about the ____ day of Nov. 1808, an infant and without issue, that the said Margaret Coxon was the mother of the said Jesse & Scarburgh Bull; that immediately after the death of the said Scarburgh Bull the heirs of the said Richard Bull the elder entered on the said 50 acres of land in the declaration mentioned and became possessed thereof, and made partition among themselves in a friendly way, viz: Abel Bull, the son & heir of Teackle Bull, who was then deceased, and was a brother of the whole blood of Tobias Bull, Peggy Bayly, Molly Bonwell, Sally Bonwell and Hetty Bonwell, sisters of the whole blood of the said Tobias Bull, and Richard Bull, brother of the whole blood of the said Tobias Bull; That Laban Gunter, one of the defendants in possession of about 31 acres of land, part of the 50 acres in the declaration mentioned, which said 31 acres he purchased by several deeds from the brothers & sisters of the whole blood of the said Tobias Bull; that the remainder of the said 50 acres is still held by the defendants Thomas Edmunds & James Belote, who purchased of the brothers & sisters of the said Tobias Bull, and the defendant Peggy Bayly; that at the death of the said Scarburgh Bull she left a brother of the half blood named William H. Coxon, who is the son of the lessor of the plaintiff, by her deceased husband William H. Coxon, to whom the lessor of the plaintiff had been married after the death of her first husband, Tobias Bull, and said Scarburgh left no other brother nor sister nor any descendant of a brother or sister; that upon the death of the said Bridget Bull, the guardian of the said Scarburgh Bull entered upon the lands in the declaration mentioned and held the same until the death of the said Scarburgh Bull &c. 18 Oct. 1820.1
