In his will Thomas Lewis (of Spencer) gave wife Sarah Lewis during her life the land I bought at the Sheriff's sale formerly belonging to William Rowley, containing 54 acres bounded on the northwest by the lands of John Willett, on the south by my branch between the land & lands of William R. Coard, on the east by branch between it & lands of Smith Melson & on the southeast by the same branch. Also to my wife Sarah Lewis the mill & lot containing 1 acre bounded on the south by the county road & road leading to George West's & in other directions by said branch called "Horse Branch" which is intended in lieu of her dower in all my lands. To my wife my 2 Negro slaves Moses & Patience & $400 & … To my son William Thomas Lewis the land on which I now live containing 100 acres bounded on the northwest by Doe Creek, on the northeast by Major Rayfield's land, on the southeast by Thomas Johnson's lands & also to my son the land I bought of John Bayly containing 50 acres bounded on the south by the lands of Thomas Lewis Jr., on the east by "Hills Farm" & on the northeast by lands of James Lewis (of H.) & also to my son my piece of swamp land containing 30 acres bounded southwest by lands of Dennis Rew, on the southeast by lands of Littleton Ayres & on the northeast by lands of the heirs of Edmund Custis. Marriage*circa 1913He married Edna Elizabeth Anderton, daughter of Leander 'Lee' Anderton and Caroline J. Stant, circa 1913. 
Death*November 1915William died in November 1915 at age 24. We regret to announce the death of Mr. Ashton Bonawell, who died last week with typhoid fever. He is survived by his parents, his wife, 3 brothers and a sister (Acc News, 19 Nov 1915)..2
