Biography*His stepmother treated him badly. His father sent him to Sanford to live with half-uncle Ed. His uncle made him go oystering all winter instead of school. Jas.Edwar went back to his father and told him. He
then went to live with Aunt Ann (Griggs) who was good to him. When older, he returned to Sanford and again lived with Uncle Ed. He later married Joanna Parker whose mother was a Corbin of Sanford.
