Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Cobham Park Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. The Reverend Donald Bowen officiated. Pallbearers were Kent Sanders, Steve Sanders, Dwayne Sanders, Faron Hamblin, Bobby Sanders, Erik McDonald, Brian Williams and Trey Davis. Della was born at her home place in Tidewells, Va., "Bayview Farm" on Lower Machodoc Creek. She was one of eight children.2

War, said that he was acquainted with Thomas Nelson who was one of the militiamen in the Rev. War and has been considered to be 100 years old. Rev. George H. Ewell, age 73, certifities that he understood from his father who served in the War, and many others, that said Thomas Nelson was on of the militia of Accomack and served in the Rev. War and has no doubt that Nelson is over 100 years of age. Recorded 28 Feb 1853.4
