Biography*Lola Taylor Byrd, aged 84 years, wife of the late Brauddus F. Byrd, who died in 1960 and a resident of Pocomoke City, MD, died at her home on Saturday, 13 Aug 1994. Born in Grotons, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Henry Taylor and Lillie Bloxom Taylor. She would be fondly remembered by the many children she took care of in her Day Care Center that she operated in her home for many years. She was a former Nursey Worker and Sunday School Teacher for many years. Graveside services were held at First Baptist Cemetery, Pocomoke, Monday, 15 Aug 1994, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Philip Godwin. Survivors were listed (E.S. News, 20 Aug 1994).
