Birth*circa 1889Charles Dominic Pierce (Jones) was born circa 1889 at New York, NY.1
Death*1977He died in 1977 at Iowa.1
Biography*Aaron Pierce reports that his great-grandfather would say little about his parents (he felt abandoned by his family and didn't want to be found by them), these are few of the things he did say at various times:
- That his that his parents were actors.
- That his parents's names were Frank Pierce and Lillian Jerome.
- But, on a social security application, he gave his father's name as Charles Pierce.
- And from other things he said and the other available evidence, he chose the name Pierce himself after he was in Iowa or on the way to Iowa. So we always had strong reason to believe his father's name was not Pierce.
Records from the New York Juvenile Asylum, where he was admitted after his mother became ill (she died a short time later), confirm that his mother was an actress and used the name Lillian Jerome. The NYJA records also indicate that Lillian Jerome had been separated from Charles's father for years. His father's name is not mentioned in the records.1

Plaintiffs: Nathaniel Wilkins (carpenter), Peter Wilkins & Jacob Wilkins
That in the year of our Lord Christ 1770, William Wilkins, father of your orators, departed this life intestate, leaving issue Peggy Waterfield, Elishe Wilkins and John Wilkins, of lawful age, by his first wife and William, Joseph, Benjamin and your orators Nathaniel, Peter & Jacob Wilkins by a second ?? (uncertain word), then infants and under the age of twenty-one. After the death of the said intestate, his widow Catherine & his son, the abovesaid John, took administration of his estate, in which, among other things were a number of slaves and personal chattels. The personal estate was administered on as the law requires, but there was not, nor is there yet, any legal partition made of the slaves, agreeable to the act of assembly in such case lately made & provided but on the contrary, while your orators were infants of very tender years, the intestate's children who were of lawful age, by illegal means procured partition of the slaves.
Joseph and Benjamin died underage and without issue. The slaves allotted to Benjamin by said illegal procedure were Jack, Adam & Henry. Joseph, who had two slaves so allotted to him, viz, Anda & Luke, and Anda has since had issue, two children, Sam & another whose name your orators do not at present recollect. The said William as heir at law to the said Joseph & Benjamin claimed and took possession of the slaves to them so illegally allotted, and also their increase and still holds the possession of them, contrary to another act of assembly in such cases lately made & provided. Your orators well hoped that when they should arrive to lawful age, capable of acting for themselves, which they now are, that the said William & others concerned or interested in the partition of said slaves would have, agreeable to law and equity consented to and made partition of said slaves.
But now, so it is, may it please your worships that the said William altogether refuses to consent to partition of said slaves.
There is another document which states that the daughter Elishe died without issue and the son John died leaving a son William who was under-age.
The answer of the brother, William Wilkins stated that the prior division had been in effect for ten years and when William's part of the slaves were delivered to him, he understood from all parties that the division was perfectly fair and equal and such of the children as had less valuable slaves assigned to them had the deficiency supplied in money to be paid by the others.
The outcome of this suit was not included within these documents.1

Birth*12 June 1946Patricia June Reina was born on 12 June 1946 at Kingston, NY.
Death*8 November 2019She died on 8 November 2019 at Coral Springs, FL, at age 73. Patricia June Reina, 73, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019 in Coral Springs, FL. Born in Kingston, NY on June 12, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Reina and Ida Mae Townsend Reina. Born in Kingston, NY, the family moved to Miami, FL when she was eight where she spent her childhood. She graduated from Miami Edison High School in 1964, where she was known as Patty. Following high school, she lived in New York City, Falls Church, VA, Atlanta, GA, Bethesda, MD and Del Ray Beach, FL and was known as “P.J.” during her adult life. She was full of life and commanded attention by those who knew and loved her. Living in NYC as after high school, she had a successful modeling career and worked as an executive assistant. Her career also included radio sales executive and real estate agent. She moved to Atlanta, along with her two daughters, after her divorce to be near her sister. Laughter was her way of life and is revealed in most of her photographs. She remembered her mother saying “Laughter is the best medicine” and she took heed. She loved gardening and had a green thumb. She was quite creative and beautiful. Looking “put-together” was her way of life. She was like a rainbow that colored the world. Her strength and zest for life touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She had a deep interest in healthy eating and living and a desire to nurture and heal those around her. Her wit and sense of humor will be remembered as her best attribute of all. She will remain in our hearts forever and will always be with us. P.J. is survived by one daughter, Leah Lauren Parks of Bronxville, NY, FL; one brother, Richard Ronald Reina of Tampa, FL; one sister, Marilyn Reina Krone of Atlanta, GA; one grandson, Adam Aqrabawi of Del Ray, FL and her long-time best friend and partner, Lou Boland of Bethesda, MD. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Roy Spradley; one daughter, Sabrina Starr Spradley; two sisters, Delores (Laura) Joy Reina Milgrim and Bonnie Knudsen Kelly and a brother, Thomas Townsend Reina. A Celebration of Her Life with family and friends will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Skyland Trail, 1961 N. Druid Hills Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329 - www.skylandtrail.org. She will be interred in the Townsend family plot in Nelson Cemetery in New Church, VA, alongside her mother, Ida Mae Townsend Reina, maternal grandparents, George Thomas and Catherine E. Cutler Townsend and two uncles, Preston T. and Felix Townsend. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., 107 Vine Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
