Death*before 23 March 1640He died before 23 March 1640 at Northampton Co, VA. The apparent death of John Sanders was referred to in the will of Frances Burdett, and by William Burditt's promise (immediately following her will) not to meddle with the goodes in the possession of Frances Sanders or of her children's portions.1
Will - Mother's*23 March 1640John was named in his mother's will on 23 March 1640 at Northampton Co, VA. In her will Frances Brudett gave to Edward Lake, Richard Lake, Jane Lake, Margarett Lacke, and Ellinor Lacke (my brothers and sisters) that part of the estate of William Blower which can be demanded by the bond, and a 140 A. plantation on the north side of old Plantation Creek in Accomack Co. Also, to Peirce Scott, that part remaining in the custody of Mr. William Burditt, including her clothes as well as all that belongs to me, viz., one beaver hat, 4 gold rings, 2 silver bodkins, and a silver thimble. The clothes trunk to be nailed up and delivered to my brothers and sisters. To Edward Daniell one heifer with calf out of William Blower's estate. Thomas Stanton and John Tompkin to oversee. If ever a brother or sister come into the Country my overseers to deliver his or their share of the afore-mentioned estate. To Thomas Burditt after his father's decease my now dwelling house, but if the said Thomas dies without issue, then to my aforementioned brothers and sisters. It is my desire that I may be buryed by John Sanders. For the making over of William Blower's estate, the bond makes mention that James Bruse has the testimony of it. The Pinnace to be sold to pay debts. Witt: William Cropp, Garrett Andrewes, Edward Daniell.2
