Taylor, aged 27 years, who was so severely burned at the residence of her uncle, Mr. A.B. Haynes, of No. 294 West Lombard Street, on Tuesday night, died at 6 o'clock yesterday morning. She was conscious to the last. Dr. Tinsley, coroner, decided that her death was accidental, and declined to hold and inquestl. Miss Taylor occupied a room with her cousin, Mrs. J.A. Sanders, on the second floor, and went to her trunk for a desired article. As she stooped, her clothing brushed against a small stove, taking fire. She ran into the street, where the fire was put out by the driver of passing car and others. Miss Taylor was a daughter of the late Joseph H. Taylor, of Northumberland County, VA. She came to Baltimore about 8 years ago. Her brother, Thomas W. Taylor, is the customs officer at Onancock, VA and her sister Mrs. N.E. Reynolds, lives in Richmond County, VA. The illness of Mr. Thomas W. Taylor Jr., reported in another column, terminated fatally on Thursday and his remains arrived at Tasley station for interment by early train Friday morning. In reporting his death, we voice the sentiment of all who knew him, in saying that it is received with sincere sorrow and regret by them. He had not reached the twentieth year of his ago but in his brief life had shown hat he had a career of usefulness ahead of him. He was a young man of fine business capacity and with gifts as a writer in many branches of literary work. With his industrious habits and congenial temperament he would have won success in many sphere of life. His parents, Mr. Thomas W. Taylor and wife, and three sisters, Misses Fannie, Constance and Bessie survive him. Funeral services today 11 a.m. at Protestant Episcopal Church, Onancock. (Source: Peninsula Enterprise, Accomac Court-House, Va., Saturday, August 18, 1906, p. 3) According to The Baltimore Sun, Saturday, 18 Aug 1906 issue, he had been operated on for appendicitis the preceding day, but the physicians found that gangrene had already set in, and from the first pronounced his case desperate. His body was brought down to Onancock this morning and the burial will take place Saturday morning. His father Thomas W. Taylor, a well-known resident of Accomac County; his mother and three sisters survive him. He was 21 years old. For nine years Mr. Taylor was correspondent of THE SUN for this section. He was a young man of very unusual promise and abilities. His interests and sympathies were much wider than those of most young men of his age. In his business, in his family and social life and in his religious work his devotion to duty had been unfaltering. His death is felt as a personal loss by the citizens.8,9

Death*16 August 1906He died on 16 August 1906 at Hospital, Salisbury, Wicomico Co, MD, at age 21. Thomas W. Taylor, Jr., was taken by Dr. E. W. His death is felt as a personal loss by the citizens.1,2

Birth*circa 1855Mary M. Taylor was born circa 1855 at Richmond Co, VA.1
Death*13 December 1882She died on 13 December 1882 at Baltimore City, MD. Miss Mary M. Taylor, aged 27 years, who was so severely burned at the residence of her uncle, Mr. A.B. Haynes, of No. 294 West Lombard Street, on Tuesday night, died at 6 o'clock yesterday morning. She was conscious to the last. Dr. Tinsley, coroner, decided that her death was accidental, and declined to hold and inquest. Miss Taylor was a member of Lee Street Baptist Church. The remains will probably be taken to Virginia for interment.1
