Birth*circa 1725Laban (unplaced) Turner was born circa 1725 at Worcester Co, MD.
Anecdote* According to Steve Turner citing the results of yDNA of some of their descendants, Zadock, Daniel, Laban and Levin (who only show up in Worcester or in their later migrations) are unplaced apparent DNA relations of Samuel I who stayed in Worcester, though for whatever reason were not named in wills or estates. According to yDNA of their descendants, they do look like probable grandsons or great-grandsons of Samuel I, of John Turner & Sarah Kellam of Accomack, or of a brother of that John, but so far we have no clear evidence of the exact line of descent to them. Therefore, they are shown as "unplaced" noting their yDNA shows close ties to the Edward I and Samuel I families that came out of Accomack consistent with a common 17th century or slightly earlier origin. Their origins are almost certainly tied to the Samuel I and Edward I lines in some as yet unknown way.1
Marriage*circa 1750He married Esther Turner, daughter of William (of Samuel) Turner and Comfort Oxford, circa 1750 at Worcester Co, MD. Ed Wright shows they were married before 22 Sep 1769.2
Land conveyed*22 September 1769Laban (unplaced) Turner conveyed land on 22 September 1769 at tract Thornberry, Worcester Co, MD. Laban Turner and his wife Esther conveyed to Eliakim Johnson, part of the tract Thornberry. This tract was taken up by Thomas Oxford on 1 June 1685 for 400 acres. William Turner and his wife Comfort conveyed 140 acres to their daughters Esther Turner and Comfort Turner by deed dated 17 March 1763. This part was standing on the plantation of Eliakim Johnson being the 1st bounder of the original tract, conveyed for 25 acres.2
Tax paid*between 1773 and 1774He paid tax on land between 1773 and 1774 at tract Thornberry, Worcester Co, MD.2
Rev War Veteran*1780He served in the Revolutionary War in 1780 at Delaware. Laban Turner was a private in Capt. William McKennan's company, Southern Army of the United States.2
Land wit deed*1 August 1786He witnessed a deed on 1 August 1786 at Sussex Co, DE. Laban Turner witnessed a deed from Isaac Benson & his wife Esther to Aaron Gordy.2

Birth*circa 1739Elias (of Samuel II) Turner I was born circa 1739 at Kent Co, DE.1
Anecdote* Elias first appears in Kent Co tax lists 1760; moved (probably with apparent first cousin Samuel Turner, son of Elias's uncle John) about 1768 to Onslow Co., NC per tax records. A substantial migration of Salmon Turners from Kent Co. DE to Onslow Co, NC apparently took place in the mid to late 1760s; most moved on ca. 1770 to Tryon Co, NC and later into northern SC, probably including Bob's line. My Elias stayed in Onslow through at least 1774 per tax record, then moved to Orange Co., NC by his earliest land record there in 1776/7. Moved from there to Henderson Co., KY about 1807/8, where he was living as late as 1825 per road records. Not clear where and when he died.1
Tax list*between 1760 and 1767He was on the tax list between 1760 and 1767 at Kent Co, DE. Elias (12), Elijah (8), & Benjamin Turner (8) all appear for first time in Kent Co DE tax lists. Elias remains on lists through 1767, then disappears. In 1766 Elias was also credited with 39 squirrel scalps.1
Land acknowledges de*11 February 1767He acknowledges deed on 11 February 1767 at tract Turner's Choice (NW), Mispillion Hundred, Kent Co, DE. Elias Turner acknowledges in Kent Co DE Court deed of Feb 9 from Samuel Turner Sr to Jehu Turner.1
Marriage*circa 1768He married Mary (-----) circa 1768.1
Will - Father's*21 November 1769Elias was named in his father's will on 21 November 1769 at Kent Co, DE. In his will Samuel Turner gave unto his well beloved Samuel Bevans Turner and to my daughter Joyce and my daughter Loar (Lear or Leah) and to my son Henry Turner and my son Jehu Turner one shilling sterling to each of them to be paid by my executors after by decease. To my son Elias Turner the whole and sole advantage and benefit of a deed of sale past to me from Andrew Calwell to him and his heirs.
