(NOTE: Several Ancestry.com family trees and Lt. Col. Wilson shows that she was, therefore, the daughter of William Clarkson. However, she was not named in his will. He named 4 sons in his will, but 5 unnamed children were mentioned at probate. So she may have been the 5th child, although Ed Wright shows the 5th child as possibily Elizabeth Clarkson, who married Thomas Cox on 4 Dec 1714 in Stepney Parish, Somerset Co, MD. If she was his daughter it seems that she should have been named with him when he was transported into Maryland in 1676. If she was his daughter she must have been by a much earlier marriage before he came to Maryland. She will continue to be shown as his daughter until proof of who else she have been can be found.)1,3
